Open Call for residency in Schiedam/Rotterdam

For our next edition of Dans in Ontwikkeling we are looking for open minded, independent and self- motivated dance makers with a spark for a new creation.

We offer:

– Artistic and dramaturgical coaching, production, promotion and technical support
– Coverage of traveling costs within the Netherlands based on NS Dal-Vrij
– Public presentation on May 25th in the Wennekerpand theater, Vijgensteeg 2, Schiedam
– Presentation fee for the maker and performers
– Full authorship rights for the end results
– Professional pictures and video registration

Application must include:

1. motivation statement (max. 150 words) + statement concerning availability
2. concept incl. mood board and ideas for stage settings, costumes & music (max.1xA4)
3. C.V. of the maker; co-creators; dancers
4. link to video material (max 5 min.) registration of previous works or rehearsals.

‘Dans in Ontwikkeling’ is a project initiated by Liat Magnezy with the aim to create a supportive platform for beginning dance artists in their first steps of becoming independent professional choreographers. The project is produced by Magnezy Dance Productions in collaboration with Theater aan de Schie; and is made possible by Gemeente Schiedam, Theater aan de Schie, Elise Mathilde Fonds, Het Cultuurfonds, Dioraphte and Erasmusstichting Rotterdam.
