Geïnspireerd door Pierrot, het eeuwige verlangen naar liefde en de pijn die er is door er niet bij te horen, is The Crime was Love – het tweede hoofdstuk van de Wonder, Love-serie – een reis door melancholie, verlangen en onmogelijke liefde.
Dit hoofdstuk volgt twee personages, gevangen in een delicate dans tussen droom en werkelijkheid. Verwikkeld in een complex spel en opgesloten in een steeds terugkerende dynamiek, waarin eindeloze variaties op de verlangens en frustraties worden uitgeoefend.
The Crime was Love combineert muziek, dans, mime en visuele verhalen tot een meeslepende ervaring, die de magie van Les Enfants du Paradis en Alice Through the Looking-Glass weerspiegelt. Door middel van tragedie, drama en humor, duikt het verhaal in de emotionele patronen binnen relaties. Wat gebeurt er als twee zielen zich ontvouwen in een wereld waar dromen en werkelijkheid botsen?

ALEX
is een psychologisch proces dat draait om zelfontdekking en zelfacceptatie, waarbij de nadruk ligt op het omarmen van iemands identiteit en bewustwording hiervan. Het moedigt reflectie en zelfconfrontatie aan, zowel op individueel niveau als in relatie tot anderen. Bij het ontmoeten van nieuwe mensen is het natuurlijk om jezelf te vergelijken en delen van jezelf te laten zien. In het begin kan er weerstand zijn tegen bepaalde delen van jezelf, maar het is belangrijk om stil te staan, te observeren, te luisteren, te begrijpen en je ermee te verbinden.
“ALEX” neemt de invloed van alexithymie aan en gaat op zoek naar identiteit, met frustraties en nieuwsgierigheid, terwijl het de vrijheid omarmt om jezelf te ontdekken. Het nodigt mensen uit om hun verbeelding te gebruiken en hun eigen unieke ervaringen te creëren, met komische personages en humor om een plezierige ervaring te bieden.

Inspired by the figure of Pierrot, the eternal yearning for love, and the ache of not belonging, The Crime was Love is the second chapter in the Wonder, Love series, a journey through melancholy, longing, and impossible love. This chapter follows two characters caught in a delicate dance between dream and reality. Engaged in a complex game, they are trapped within the same dynamics, playing out endless variations of their desires and frustrations.
The Crime was Love blends music, dance, mime, and visual storytelling into an immersive experience, echoing the magic of Les Enfants du Paradis and Alice Through the Looking-Glass. Through tragedy, drama and humor, the narrative delves into the emotional loops in relationships. What happens when two souls unfold in a world where dreams and reality collide?

ALEX
is a psychological process of self-discovery and self-acceptance, focusing on the profound impact of embracing one’s identity and cultivating awareness of it. The journey explores harmony with oneself, encouraging both reflection and self-confrontation, individually and in relation to others. When meeting someone new, it’s natural to mirror each other, revealing aspects of ourselves. Initially, you may feel the urge to resist certain parts of yourself, but it’s essential to pause, observe, listen, understand, and connect with them.
Influenced by alexithymia, “ALEX” embodies a quest for identity, encompassing both frustrations and curiosity, while embracing the freedom to explore oneself during the process of self-exploration. It invites individuals to engage their imagination and create their own unique experiences. The comic characters, through playful gestures, are presented with humor, aiming to create an enjoyable experience and evoke a smile.
